In 2013 Egbert moved to Scotland, where he then studied Classical Singing. After spending a few years in Scotland, Egbert moved to Sheffield to continue his musical studies, after which he returned to the beautiful Isle of Skye in Scotland, where he currently lives.
Musical career, education & achievements:
Egbert’s musical career started as a singer in the Netherlands, where he had lessons with several singing teachers. During this period several recordings of Egbert were released, including his 2012 album ‘Golden Christmas Classics’ with maestro Hugo van Neck on the Piano. In 2014 Egbert continued his vocal studies in Scotland and obtained during these studies in 2016 the Associate diploma of Trinity College London in Music Performance (Recital) with distinction.
Alongside his vocal studies in Scotland, Egbert started studying with Gareth Green in 2015, working on the subjects Music Theory/Literacy, Composition and Piano. These studies with Gareth resulted in successfully obtaining a range of qualifications, such as the ABRSM grade 8 certificate in Music Theory in 2016, followed by the Associate diploma of the London College of Music in Music Literacy in 2017. Around this point Egbert decided to take a break from his singing, actively started composing and in 2017/2018 he obtained several certificates in Composition at the London College of Music, all with distinction. In October 2018 Egbert submitted a portfolio of compositions at the London College of Music for which he was awarded the Associate diploma of the London College of Music in Composition in January 2019.
In the Autumn of 2020 Egbert picked up his singing again and he released in December 2020 the album 'Christmas Carols, 10 Songs of Christmas from all over the world'. In January 2022 Egbert worked together with acclaimed Lieder accompanist Roger Braun and released in March the EP 'Schubert: 5 Lieder', after which Egbert returned to his break from singing. In November 2022, the EP's 'Egbert Juffer: 5 Works for Organ - Volume 1' and 'Egbert Juffer: 5 Works for Organ - Volume 2' were released, featuring respectively compositions and arrangements for Organ written by Egbert. In the same month Egbert submitted a portfolio of compositions at the Victoria College of Music and Drama, London for which he was awarded the Associate diploma of Victoria College of Music and Drama, London early December.
